Brook Furniture Rental has made every effort to be more “green” to help the environment as well as the company operate more efficiently. In 2009, our company participated in the EPA Energy Star® Challenge aiming at improving our energy efficiency by 10 percent. In addition, we’ve switched to Energy Star® qualified television sets assuring that commitment to energy conservation is spread to our rental furniture and staging customers. We have also been using low VOC furniture stains and finishes on our furniture pieces.

We are committed to preserving our environment through every aspect of our business! Our distribution centers operate under the motto of waste reduction. Our energy efficient lightning has allowed us to reduce consumption of electricity in our distribution centers by 17%!
Aside from small steps like these, we’re making huge progress when it comes to recycling. We repair, refurbish, and refinish our furniture, and we also try to purchase and rent furniture made from sustainable materials whenever we can. High-quality furniture lasts longer and repairs more easily; by choosing these products instead of lower quality furnishings, we decrease negative impact on the environment every time you place an order.
Brook Furniture Rental will continue to extend our commitment to the environment by replenishing our stock of office and home furniture with pieces made from more eco-friendly materials. For instance, we plan to use more of organic foam in our upholstery and beddings and purchase furniture and accessories made with bamboo or cork, as well as aluminum and steel. At Brook Furniture Rental, we are continuously looking for furniture manufacturers that use such materials in their products and that are engaged in environment sustainability efforts just as we are. Our company also looks to partner with customers who share our values when it comes to sustainability and business practices that are pro-environment.
